Adding to an already impressive Micro Four Thirds lineup, the Panasonic GX9 brings some new features to its predecessor the GX8. Similar to the GX8, the GX9 features a 20MP Four Thirds Sensor but has removed the OLPF for sharper imaging. The previous version’s 4-axis in body stabilization has been upgraded to 5-axis as well. Of particular benefit to the underwater shooter is the addition of a built-in flash allowing for TTL triggering of supported external strobes via fiber-optic cable.
